If you want to be able to see callers as well as hear them, and if you’re able to install a doorbell outside your building’s main entrance, the Ring Video Doorbell 3 is the brand’s latest model. It’s available in wired and wireless versions, so the latter would be the best option for installing in a communal area, although you’d need to check that your Wi-Fi signal is strong enough for the doorbell to connect to it. The issue here is that terminals are small, and the wires you’re connecting to the terminals are thin and a little awkward to manipulate; the lettering on the terminals is also likely to be small and hard to read – it certainly was in the case of our intercom. If you haven’t don’t have good close-up vision, we’d suggest using magnifying glass, or a pair of cheap reading glasses, to help you see what you’re doing; you’ll want to make sure the working area is well lit, and your phone torch will  also be helpful.

You get the benefits of dual shields (sun or clear), both of which are fog-resistant and distortion-free. Carefully structured padding around the lower opening ensures a quiet ride for the money. AGV also went the extra mile with small details, strengthening, but also pulling back the area where the chin bar snaps to the rest of the lid, so you get more open area when that’s lifted, but they also added protection by making the visor thicker. Plus this helmet is cushy inside, with moisture-wicking Ritmo and Shalimar fabrics, ChatGPT and a synthetic leather gasket at the visor lip that prevents rain from penetrating the seam at the closure. Our tester also found the AGV to be well vented, with five different ports allowing really fine adjustment of cooling, and that’s especially nice when you might want just a little air for de-misting the visor but not enough to freeze your bean. Ah, and fogging won’t happen that readily, since the AGV ships the K6 with a Pinlock insert, too; install that second lens inside the visor to prevent fogging.

I placed a Cardo PackTalk Black on my helmet, and the C10, like HJC’s other helmets, comes with cutouts for the speakers, making it simple to add your preferred communications system in just a matter of minutes. Interior ventilation is provided through cutouts in the EPS front vs intercom foam that link to vents on the exterior of the helmet. The wide chin vent on the front does a good job of funneling air into the lid. The easily handled intakes at the top, as well as the heat extractors at the back, contribute to the C10’s exceptional ventilation.

As its name suggests, the DLX is a deluxe version of the Bell Qualifier, which is a $109.95 (list) helmet that includes the excellent Bell “ClickRelease” face shield system, a removable liner, speaker pockets and it even has a 5-year warranty.
